This door leads to two things: a chest with random loot and the Right Translation Wheel. This opens the door on the right at the intersection. Flip that lever to open the nearby doors. To get out, flip the switch and take the hatch down. There will be one guard in the next room. (There isn't anything further to the right.) The motion sensor will drop you through the hatch.
